"Just You" by Di Garling
PLUS
Some Tips & Tricks

Hello Green Tara fans. So glad you called by. Today I would like to show you a layout I did a few weeks ago using lots of yummy Green Tara flowers. For the main feature flower in my cluster I have used one of the gorgeous NEW aqua "Damask" fabric flowers. These are so well priced, come in lots of different colours  & are sold loose. I have also used an aqua "gardenia", some "mini rosebuds", some different size "roses", some black Skeleton" leaves  & a gorgeous black "flower spray", all from Green Tara of course.
I do so love this aqua, black & white colour scheme incorporating lots of different types of Green Tara flowers. That is the great thing about Green Tara, because their flowers are all sold loose you can afford to have a bit of this & a bit of that & create a beautiful & interesting cluster. I have also added a few black feathers just to set the whole thing off.
A nice close up shot of the gorgeous "Damask" fabric flower & the fantastic 2 Crafty Chipboard.

At my little shop Di's Scrapbooks at The Entrance NSW Australia we sell loads & loads of all these & more, beautiful Green Tara goodies.

TIPS & TRICKS
Just a quick tip for making your Green Tara Flower Sprays look even nicer than they already are. Take a three stem pack of flower sprays.
Using an Awl or skewer or whatever else you have on hand & just curl the stems around in rather a random type of fashion. Then do the same to each individual little stem. All of these stems have wire in the middle of them so they can be pushed, poked or twirled around as I have done here & the great thing is that they then, stay put.
Hey presto. There you have it. The before on the left & the finished stem on the right. Doesn't this make a difference?
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I have given you a little inspiration for your next project.
Until next time.   Cheers Di  xo

"Romance" Layout & Card
By Geraldine Passinati

 Romance- from Layout to Card.
Hi there, today I'm sharing with you a little of the romance in my life and also the idea of taking a layout and re-creating it into a card. This is a very old picture of my Husband and I as we have just celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary & I thought it was time to get a little reminiscent.
I'm a very earth toned person when it comes to scrapping but I can never go past a stunning shade of blue, so naturally I was drawn to these NEW Green Tara fabric flowers. Who wouldn't be? They are just devine!  I couldn't resist to add in the gorgeous cream 'Heirloom' silk flowers and petite roses.

Just look how feminine and heavenly these 'Tutu' and 'Damask' flowers are....BEAUTIFUL!
I  have decided that when I create a layout I'm going to do a matching card. It really is a great way to use up the left over papers and embellishments from your layout. Me.....and like most scrappers, I seem to accumulate loads of left overs that never get touched.

Thank you for dropping into the blog, stay and enjoy.......Till next time, Geraldine

For those of you that are not familiar with her work, let me tell you,  you will not be dissappointed. Adriana is a true artist, and as always has worked  her magic with some beautiful Green Tara goodies. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for more of her amazing work.

Hi my name is Adriana Bolzon.
I live in the Adelaide, Australia.
I am a wife to a wonderful man, and a mother to a precious daughter. I have been a devoted card-maker for many years and have been scrapbooking and paper-crafting for over 9 years. I love creating something everyday, it is a hobby that I am very passionate about. Everything I create and hand make will be a lasting memory that people will treasure for many years to come.
I love anything vintage, homespun & with a touch of nostalgia. I like experimenting and trying different techniques, and love distressing papers at the moment.
I am currently on the Design Team for “Meg’s Garden”. “Imaginairum Designs" and “White with 1”.
I am so excited and honored being selected as a Guest Designer for “GREEN TARA” this month. I have had so much fun playing with these beautiful goodies.
Thanks so much for having me here.
I will also me back later in the  month with another
project created with the gorgeous Green Tara products.
All of the flowers I have used here are from the Green Tara range.
This large flower  is one of the many NEW fabric flowers.
These are some more of their gorgeous fabric flowers & four of their beautiful trims. They have hundreds to choose from. We are spoilt for choice.

Next I made this little tag out of all my leftover bits. They are way to nice to waste.
This would be be nice on a scrapbook layout or on the front of a card & perhaps even on a gift. The possibilities are endless.

"Treasured Memories" by Di Garling

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I did. I finished scrapping this layout I was working on & today I thought I would share it with you all. This is the most gorgeous photo a friend of mine had taken by a local photographer, JasArt Photographic Art, of her new baby daughter, thanks Jamie. I did a mauve layout with a baby with angel wings a month ago done by the same photographer.
I have been saving this fairy up for a special project & I figured this photo is about as special as it gets. As you can see I have cut it out & layered it up over my photo so that the baby is nestled underneath the fairy. Just like a fairytale!!!
I have used loads of yummy Green Tara flowers as you can see in this pic including one of the NEW "Heirloom" silk & organza fabric flowers in the centre of my cluster, as well as several ivory roses in various sizes. I have just wiped a little apricot ink over  the edge of the petals to tie all the colours together. I have also used some beautiful Green Tara lace which I have just tucked in here & there around the edges of the layout in between the paper layers.
Next I have used some Green Tara "Bud N Bow" satin finish trim in ivory as you can see in this photo. It always makes an impact on a layout & it comes in several colours too.
In this photo you will notice my gorgeous big bow which I have tied using the Green Tara NEW Crinkled Edge Satin Organza Ribbon. This ribbon makes incredibly beautiful bows & because it is "crinkled" it makes a huge statement on a layout with the bulk. I love it. This also comes in many colours. Lastly I have finished off with a beautiful  2 Crafty chipboard word
"Treasured Memories". I thought this word was so appropriate for this very special layout. Thanks for stopping by to have a look at my little "fairytale". I hope I have inspired you to do something similar. I always say, if you use beautiful, well cordinated products, you can't help but be pleased with the finished product.
Until next time.   Cheers Di  xo

"First Egg Hunt" by JJ Sobey

"I had fun getting into girly-girl mode with this layout.  I wanted a spring feel (despite the colours in the photos, ha!) for this Easter page, so I used lots of flowers and trim.
I combined two trims (Ivory Gingham Frill and Pink Twisted Organza Pearl) around the edge of the circle, for a layered effect, and to add a little more texture without overwhelming the page - I still wanted the photos to be the main attraction.
There were so many soft-coloured flowers, I couldn't choose just one type, so I added a few in different shades to coordinate -  Apple Blossoms, Cherry Blossoms, Asters, and Roses.
These little leaves are actually wired, giving a lot of possibilities for positioning.  I love having options!"

"Beautiful" by Vicky Alberto

This layout was inspired by all the beautiful 7 Gypsies trays that people have altered in the past few years.  I thought this blocked design might look nice as a layout. The papers are from an old Basic Grey "porcelain" collection and chipboard is all different kinds. All the beautiful Batik Aster flowers (vintage and sunset) and Cherry Blossoms (pink and peach) are from Green Tara. These flowers were truly the PERFECT style match for this layout. It is a very simple design but did take quite some planning to make things flow properly. It's fun to try new things and get out of your scrappy comfort zone.
Thanks for taking the time to view my project today!

15 minute Headband
PLUS Kirigami Boxes
by Vicky Alberto

You can make a gorgeous headband that would retail for about $25 in 15 minutes... for less than half the price! This one was actually inspired by a flower girl headband my daughter saw in a boutique - with a whopping $38 price tag. No way was I paying that much for a 3-year-old's play thing, since she is not even in a wedding. All I did was buy a plain faux leather headband, (at my local dollar store) and hot glued some Green Tara lace trim (glue in the very centre only of the lace). I then added the twisted organza pearl trim with fabric glue (over-top the hot glued lace area just in case of future yellowing). Then I added some GORGEOUS silk flowers with Swarovski crystals (3 cream and 3 pink) in an off-centre cluster. My daughter actually chose the pretty flowers and I coordinated the headband and trims to match. We make a pretty good crafting pair (only 34 years difference in age :) I still won't let her wear it out of the house yet though, LOL.
KIRIGAMI BOXES
I have also made 3 cute little kirigami boxes from my tutorial (http://simplypaperandcreativity.blogspot.ca/2011/07/kirigami-box-tutorial.html) using beautiful Pion Design papers and gorgeous Green Tara batik aster flowers plus many of their trims. The two paper collections work so very nicely together and the embellies are just the perfect icing on the cake!

"Sisters" by Jan Rankine

Hi everyone –
Well!!!!  Alison, who owns Green Tara, has set all her Design  Team a challenge – and what a challenge – I have been in seventh heaven playing with all these flowers and ribbons this afternoon.  I think it took me longer to type the product list than to actually create the page.  Never mind, I loved every minute of it.
Green Tara makes so many of these petals in different colours (49 different  colours &  in many different sizes) and in the “old” days we used to use them individually  with a brad in the middle – oh so “yesterday”.  Just have a look at how great they look combined & all layered up. When you layer them it is so easy to achieve great volume without too much bulk.
I have also used several of these lovely Green Tara ribbons as well as some of their great Autumn leaves, just  to add a bit more  texture. I do so love these leaves, they are just so versatile.
Now I had lots of leftovers sooooo, I thought I would make a card as well. I do so love this colour pallette teamed with the Kraft coloured card. I thought while I had everything out & my work area was in a mess anyway I might just as well make up a card to use up all the extra bits. This card was a quickie but because I used such lovely products, you really can't help but end up with a lovely card.
Hope I’ve given you some inspiration.

Luv Jan xx

I also managed to get my hands on some of the AMAZING new flowers from Green Tara and have used them in this layout including an Ivory Heirloom Organza flower that I totally changed the color of to suit my Apricot layout (The beauty of buying cream or white is to change the product to suit your work).
 Green Tara products used

Heirloom 6.5cm Silk and Organza flower – Ivory ( and covered in Peach Bellini Glimmer Glam)
Cherry Blossoms – Peach/Cream 3cm
